Stephen Hart

Stephen Hart graduated with a Bachelor of Arts/Law from Sydney University in 1979. In 1980, he commenced his career in Narrabri before moving to the Northern Rivers in 1982.

Stephen was a partner for over 30 years at the well-established law firm, Baker Mannering & Hart Solicitors and in 2023, he and his team joined Somerville Laundry Lomax Solicitors.

Being an owner of a small business, Stephen has an extensive insight in owning and running a business and the challenges that you may be presented with.

Stephen has a wide range of experience in all areas of the law, including complex commercial and litigation matters, including in the Court of Appeal in New South Wales. Such matters have included complex leasing matters and insurance matters. Stephen also has a wide knowledge of rural issues having been associated with rural and semi-rural activities and clients since his time in Narrabri.

In Stephen’s downtime, he enjoys four wheel driving and bush walking. He has travelled extensively in central Australia including crossing the Simpson desert, and across the top of Lake Eyre.
