Melanie Loomes

Melanie was born and raised in the Northern Rivers region. Melanie attended Bond University and was awarded a Bachelor of Laws (Second Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in International Relations and Japanese in 2016.

Melanie commenced her legal career at Somerville Laundry Lomax Solicitors, before broadening her professional experience overseas, spending three years living and working in the United Kingdom.

Melanie has built up a varied civil litigation practice. A major focus of Melanie’s expertise is in personal injury, primarily workers compensation and work injury damages claims. Melanie also regularly conducts public liability claims, family provision claims (contesting wills) and motor vehicle accident claims. Melanie acts on behalf of injured Plaintiffs and Applicants and appears in the Personal Injury Commission and the District and Supreme Courts of NSW.

Melanie is an active member of her local physical culture dance group and the Lennox Head Surf Life Saving Club as a patrol member and surf boat rower. Melanie also enjoys spending time with her family and friends and exploring the Northern Rivers region on her bike.
